Bar X Ranch is amazing. Doug and Julie are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very laidback, and the cabin we stayed in felt like home away from home. We even got to help move cows one morning! They have tons of trails to explore and they are close to town if you want to ride in or trailer to Teddy Roosevelt state park. We will be back!
Beautiful scenery and beautiful trails with endless options! This was our first time coming to Bar X, We met many people who had been coming for years. Everyone was willing to take us under their wing to show us around on the trails. All of the campers were very friendly! It was great coming to camp and not having to set up a fence. They had water and electricity too. Made our camping easy!
We give Bar X 5 stars all around. We will be back next year for sure!!

The Bar X Ranch has many horse corrals and elecric hookups. It is located next to the Mah Dah Haay Trail and there are many acres of private land to ride. You can ride your horse into Medora crossing the Little Missouri River 3 times. It is a picturesque place to stay.
